Larry O'Dell
Larry O’Dell is the Director of Special Communications and Development for the Oklahoma Historical Society. He has served as a Research Associate for the Encyclopedia of Oklahoma, writing more than 220 entries himself. O’Dell began his OHS career as a researcher for the Tulsa Race Riot Commission, contributing a chapter on property loss to the final report. He also held the main curatorial position for a statewide exhibit on Oklahoma’s All-Black Town’s, again publishing a historical booklet. He has contributed several articles to publications, including the Encyclopedia of the Great Plains, Chronicles of Oklahoma, and the Oklahoma Almanac. In 2007 he co-authored Inspired to Lead: Governors and First Families of Oklahoma, which won the recognition as a 2007 American Library Association GODORT Notable Document. O’Dell won the same award in 2009 as co-editor of Another Hot Oklahoma Night: A Rock and Roll Story. He also served as the editor and contributed a chapter to Oklahoma @ the Movies.

Carlos is a graphic designer at CAP Tulsa, Oklahoma's largest anti-poverty nonprofit organization and a national leader in early childhood education. He also volunteers with Code for Tulsa, and is a correspondent for Focus: Black Oklahoma.

Morgan Allen-White
Morgan is the Director of Development at the Oklahoma Center for Community and Justice where she oversees fundraising efforts and community engagement alongside a great team working to create a state that is inclusive, just, and hospitable for all. She is a firm believer in the power of beloved community, connection, collaboration, and, above all, the power of young people to change the world.

Cody Sivertsen
Cody is the Social Studies Curriculum Specialist on the Gear Up For The FUTURE grant. In this role, Cody works with teachers to plan and facilitate authentic lessons with the goal of instilling a passion for Social Studies in their students. While previously teaching in Putnam City Schools, Cody developed a curriculum promoting civic engagement, discourse and real-world connections using historical context and current events.

Aaron Baker
Aaron is a classroom teacher, union organizer, blogger, and occasional musician. Mr. Baker is the faculty advisor for Spectrum, the Gender and Sexuality Alliance at Putnam City North High School in NW Oklahoma City.

LeaAnn J. Wyrick
An experienced educator and teacher consultant for the Oklahoma Alliance for Geographic Education, LeaAnn J. Wyrick has taught 6-12 grade social studies in both large and small rural schools in Oklahoma, as well has served in various youth outreach programs. With real-world relevance as her core focus, she develops project-based geography lessons geared toward active citizenship and student empowerment. LeaAnn utilizes teaching methods proven to promote student success, collaboration, respect, and accountability.

Melanie Rughani
Melanie Wilson Rughani is an attorney and shareholder at Crowe & Dunlevy, P.C., where she serves as chair of both its Appellate and Initiative Petitions Practice Groups. She has substantial experience with initiative and referendum petitions, having represented both proponents and challengers at all stages of the complex Oklahoma initiative petition process. She is a firm believer in the power—and necessity—of direct democracy to move our state forward.

Todd Gragg
Todd is an educator, author, presenter, husband, father, and distance runner. He spent 15 years in business and non-profit management before entering the education field in 2015. He has served on the Economic Education Advisory Council of the Oklahoma City Branch of the Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank, as a master teacher for the Oklahoma Council on Economic Education, as a board member for the Oklahoma Council for the Social Studies, and is a member of the Oklahoma Council for History Education as well as the Oklahoma Jump$tart Coalition, as well as on standards writing teams, curriculum writing projects, and led various PD sessions across the state. After three and a half years at his first school, Todd spent a year on working as Director of Financial & Business Education for the Oklahoma State Department of Education and currently serves in a hybrid district-level instructional coach and teaching position where his teaching duties include two AP History courses and overseeing all secondary virtual instruction. Educating tomorrow's citizens today is Todd’s goal in everything he does.

Becca Castleberry
Becca currently serves as the Executive Director for the Oklahoma Alliance for Geographic Education (OKAGE). OKAGE is a professional organization for all educators in Oklahoma providing a year-round schedule of professional development events and academies for in-service and pre-service teachers, curriculum coordinators, and informal educators of all grade levels and backgrounds. These include workshops, summer institutes, and field studies that provide curriculum, materials, and experiential learning opportunities.
